Should I attempt questions I'm not sure about in Prelims?

Negative marking is 0.33 per wrong answer. I usually leave 15-20 questions. But cutoff is increasing every year. What's the optimal strategy for guessing?

I struggled with this initially too. What helped me was breaking it down into smaller chunks instead of trying to tackle everything at once.
The key insight I had was: focus on understanding concepts, not memorizing facts. UPSC tests application, not rote learning.
